I can't say when I noticed this happening originally, but I think it has been going on for several months now. As far as I can tell, it just seems to happen randomly/intermittently and doesn't seem to be correlated to any actual user. Just because a person is speaking in a Discord voice channel doesn't mean I heard the crackle/static each time they talk or say something. Throughout the song being played I will occasionally here the crackle/static sound every now and then. The crackle/static sound also happens when a Discord music bot, such as Rythm, joins a Discord voice channel and is playing music in said channel. This crackle/static only seems to happen when someone else in a voice channel is speaking, and only lasts for 1 second or less, however the sound is still noticeable. Since 2017 I have been using Voicemeeter and the virtual audio cables for Discord audio routing and streaming purposes.Īs of late, I have been noticing intermittent crackle/static when I am connected into a Discord voice channel.
